Introduction
       This discipline was awarded the right to grant the Master's degree in 2000. Under the discipline of Management, Business Management is a secondary discipline under the primary discipline of Business Administration. The research directions of the discipline of Management mainly include strategic management, marketing, HR management, financial management, innovation and entrepreneurship management. In recent years, for the discipline, we have undertaken a number of national, provincial and ministerial research subjects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Social Science Foundation of China, etc. and practical application projects for large and medium-sized enterprises. Moreover, we have published tens of academic theses on some significant journals such as Management World, etc.. With regard to this discipline, in the process of training graduate students, we emphasize the combination of teaching and research, theory and practice, campus education and social service, focus on inter-discipline and innovation, pay attention to the cultivation of foreign language competence and measurement statistics competence, fully promote the ability of students to analyze and solve existing problems and help students become excellent talents in the course of serving economic and social development.

I. Training Objectives
       This discipline is to cultivate high-level management personnel comprehensively developed in morality, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics and labor, with innovative consciousness and in line with the demand of the socialist market-oriented economy. The discipline requires students to have solid management and economic theoretical basis and systematic professional knowledge, understand relevant discipline knowledge, and get familiarized with the frontier development. Students shall master a foreign language proficiently and can read the professional literature in foreign language(s) and write theses in English with regard to this discipline. Students shall master knowledge of measurement and statistical analysis and be proficient in operation and application of statistical analysis software. Students shall master modern management methods and techniques and be able to independently conduct management of practical work and theoretical researches. After graduation, the students shall be competent for the management work for governmental agencies, enterprises and public institutions in HR, marketing, strategic management, etc., or the teaching and research work of higher education institutions and scientific research institutions.

II. Main Research Directions
1. Strategic Management
       This direction includes strategic analysis, strategic choice, strategic implementation and strategic control, and it involves the research contents such as environmental analysis, resource and strategic capability analysis; feasibility, risk and profitability analysis of various alternatives; allocation of corporate resources, adjustment and design of organizational structure in strategic implementation, and so on.
2. Marketing
       This direction includes corporate marketing environment analysis, consumer demand and purchase behavior analysis, market segmentation, target market selection and market positioning, product development, brand strategy and product portfolio, pricing strategy, marketing channel management, promotional strategy formulation and other research contents.
3. HR Management
       This direction includes HR planning, recruitment and configuration, training and development, performance management and incentive, remuneration and welfare management, labor relation management, staff relationship management, and corporate culture cultivation.
4. Financial Management
       This direction includes corporate governance and financial performance evaluation, asset assessment and financial analysis, capital markets and fundraising, investment management, dividend policy, corporate mergers and acquisitions control, reorganization, liquidation and other research contents.
5. Innovation and Entrepreneurship Management
       This direction includes design of innovation strategy, organizational form of innovation, process management of innovation, system and culture of innovation, design and management of open innovation, resource management and knowledge management of innovation, innovation incentive and HR management, innovation capability and innovation performance. In addition, it also includes entrepreneurial orientation, entrepreneurial elements and process, entrepreneurial motivation and entrepreneurial team management, entrepreneurial capability and corporate entrepreneurship, etc.

III. Credit Requirements
       For this discipline, the length of schooling for master's degree candidates is 3 years, and the years of study are 2-5. The credit system is implemented for academic master's degree candidates. The minimum total credits shall be 29 credits, with 18 credits for degree courses, 1 credit for each of thesis proposal, mid-term inspection report, academic and moral education activities as required modules, not counted into the GPA.

V. Required Modules
1. Thesis Proposal
       A thesis proposal consists of literature review and research proposal. At least 25 significant references at home and abroad shall be read before a thesis proposal is written. The literature review summarizes the previous work related to the subject. The research proposal demonstrates the significance of the subject chosen, research content, expected goal, research method, implementation plan, sche****ng and so on. The thesis proposal must be read out and receive an oral defense at the review panel. The review panel shall be composed of at least three teachers with senior professional titles. It is advocated to invite the experts from other units to participate in the procedures. After hearing the thesis proposal, the review panel will make a resolution of "Pass" or "To Revise". The master's degree student who is ordered to revise the thesis proposal must carry out the revision within two months and submit a written report to the review panel without making further oral defense.
2. Mid-term Inspection
       The objects to be inspected are the master's degree candidates in the fourth semester. The School holds two mid-term inspections a year, which are completed by June 30 and by November 30 of each year. Each graduate student is required to submit a report on the working stage for the thesis, including the phased results of the thesis, the contents of the continuing research, the existing problems and the time to complete and the expected results of the thesis. A graduate student who has 2 articles published or accepted may be exempted from mid-term inspection. 3. Academic and Moral Education Activities
       Master's degree students require participation in at least six academic activities during their studies. Master students' attendance at an international or national academic conference and reading out their theses would be deemed as participation in an academic activity. After participating in the activity, a master's degree student shall write a summary of not less than 400 words, and fill in the Record Book of Postgraduate Academic Activities of Beijing University of Chemical Technology, which shall be examined by his/her supervisor and stored in the degree archive of such master's degree student.
4. Practice Session
       It is required that Master's degree students must attend and complete a certain amount of undergraduate teaching or research work during their studies which shall be assessed by their supervisors. Those who have served as an instructor of a bachelor's degree or higher course in a formal higher education institution, or a Master's degree student who is specially selected by a company or trained for a company, may be exempted from practice.
5. Thesis Research
       The dissertation is an important part of comprehensively cultivating master's degree candidate to establish a rigorous scientific style, master the basic methods of scientific research and develop independent working abilities.
Master's degree thesis in Academic Degree can be a systematically complete academic thesis, or a combination of several independent but interrelated academic theses. However, either the complete thesis or the independent contents in a thesis must reach the publication level of a core journal.
Academic level requirement for master's degree: in principle, at least one thesis has been openly published on or recruited by CSSCI or any other journals above (except supplementary issue), including CSSCI, CSCD, EI, SCI, SSCI and A&HCI.
After completing the course credits, thesis or dissertation and all the necessary links, he or she can apply for a thesis or dissertation defense in accordance with the Implementation Rules for the Granting of Doctoral and Master's Degrees in Beijing University of Chemical Technology.
A master's degree student who applies for graduation in advance shall:
(1) complete all the links according to the requirements of the graduate school, submit the oral defense application in the graduate student management information system for the review of his/her supervisor;
(2) (in respect of requirements for learning accomplishment) be excellent or good in the accomplishment of the courses for master's degree (total GPA and degree course GPA both above 3.2);
(3) (in respect of requirements for thesis publication) have published 2 theses on the CSSCI-searched journals, or 1 thesis on the A-class significant journal recognized by the the Ministry of Education/Foundation Council, or 1 thesis on the SCI/SSCI-searched journals. The supplementary issue shall not be recognized.

The time interval among the Thesis Proposal, Mid-Term and Oral Defense of Thesis must not be less than five months.

       本学科于2000年获得硕士学位授予权。企业管理是管理学学科门类下的工商管理一级学科下属的二级学科。学科的研究方向主要有战略管理、市场营销、人力资源管理、财务管理、创新和创业管理等。近年来,本学科承担了包括国家自然科学基金、国家社科基金在内的多项国家级、省部级研究课题和大中型企业的实际应用项目,在《管理世界》等重要刊物上发表学术论文数十篇。在研究生培养过程中,本学科强**学与研究相结合,理论与实践相结合,校园教育与社会服务相结合,突出学科交叉与创新,注重外语能力和计量统计能力的培养,全面提升学生分析和解决现实问题的能力,帮助学生在服务经济社会发展过程中成为卓越人才。

一、培养目标
       本学科培养德智体美劳全面发展,具有创新意识,适应社会主义市场经济需要的高层次管理人才。本学科要求具有坚实的管理与经济理论基础和系统的专业知识,了解相关学科知识,熟悉本领域的前沿发展动态。较为熟练地掌握一门外国语,能阅读本专业的外文资料,撰写英文论文。掌握计量和统计分析知识,熟练的操作应用统计分析软件。掌握现代管理方法与技术,能独立从事管理实际工作和理论研究工作。学生毕业后,能够胜任政府和企事业单位人力资源、市场营销、战略管理等方面的管理工作,或高等院校、科研机构的教学科研工作。

二、主要研究方向
1.战略管理
       包括针对企业的战略分析、战略选择、战略实施及战略控制等,涉及环境分析、资源与战略能力分析,各种备选方案的可行性、风险性及收益性分析,战略实施中对公司资源的配置、组织结构的调整与设计等研究内容。
2.市场营销
       包括企业营销环境分析,消费者需求及购买行为分析,市场细分、目标市场选择与市场定位,产品开发、品牌策略与产品组合,定价策略,营销渠道管理,促销策略制定等研究内容。
3.人力资源管理
       包括人力资源规划,招聘与配置,培训与开发,绩效管理和激励,薪酬福利管理,劳动关系管理,员工关系管理,企业文化培育。
4.财务管理
       包括公司治理与财务绩效评价,资产评估与财务分析,资本市场与筹资、投资管理,股利政策,企业的并购控制及重整清算等研究内容。
5.创新与创业管理
       包括创新战略的设计,创新的组织形式,创新的过程管理,创新的制度和文化,开放式创新的设计与管理,创新的资源管理和知识管理,创新的激励和人力资源管理,创新能力和创新绩效。还包括创业导向,创业的要素和过程,创业的动机和创业团队管理,创业能力,公司创业等。

三、学分要求
       本学科硕士研究生的学制为3年,学习年限为2-5年。学术学位硕士研究生课程学习实行学分制,须修满总学分2**分,其中学位课学分18学分的最低学分要求;开题报告、中期检查报告、学术及德育活动作为必修环节各占1学分,成绩不计入GPA。

五、必修环节
1.开题报告
       开题报告由文献综述和研究计划两部分组成。撰写开题报告之前应阅读至少25篇国内外重要文献。文献综述部分对课题有关的前人工作进行总结归纳。研究计划部分就选题意义、研究内容、预期目标、研究方法、实施方案、时间安排等作出论证。开题报告必须在审核小组会上宣读并答辩。审核小组由至少三位具有高级职称的教师组成,提倡邀请外单位专家参加。审核小组听取开题报告后,作出通过或责令修改的决议。被责令修改的硕士生必须在两个月内对报告进行修改,向审核小组提交书面报告,无须再次答辩。
2. 中期检查
       检查对象为第四学期的硕士研究生,学院每年举行2次集中中期检查,分别在每年的6月30日前集中进行完成或11月30日前集中进行完成。要求每名研究生上交一篇论文工作阶段报告,内容包括:论文所取得的阶段性成果,继续研究的内容,存在的问题和计划完成论文的时间和预期结果。已有2篇文章发表或被接受的研究生免检。具体要求详见《北京化工大学硕士研究生论文工作中期检查工作实施细则》。
3. 学术及德育活动
       硕士生在学习期间要求参加至少六次学术活动。硕士生参加一次国际或全国性学术会议并宣读论文,视同参加一次学术活动。参加活动后撰写不小于400字的小结,并填写《北京化工大学研究生学术活动记录册》,由导师考核,并存入硕士生学位档案。
4. 实践环节
       要求硕士生在学期间必须参加和完成一定量的本科生教学工作或调研工作,由导师考核。在正规高等学校担任过一门本科以上课程教学者或为企业委培、定向的硕士生可免去实践环节。
5.论文研究
       学位论文工作是全面培养硕士研究生树立严谨的科学作风、掌握科学研究基本方法和培养独立工作能力的重要环节。
       学术学位硕士研究生的学位论文可以是系统完整的学术论文,也可以是若干相对独立且又相互关联的学术论文的结合体,但无论是完整的论文还是论文中的独立内容都必须达到核心刊物可以接收发表的水平。
       硕士学位的学术水平要求:原则上公开发表或被录用CSSCI以上期刊论文至少1篇(增刊不可用),包括CSSCI、CSCD、EI、SCI、SSCI、A&HCI收录的期刊论文。
       修满课程学分、完成学位论文及各项必修环节后,按照《北京化工大学博士、硕士学位授予工作实施细则》申请论文答辩。
申请提前毕业的硕士生:
(1)按照研究生院的要求完成所有环节,在研究生管理信息系统中提交答辩申请,导师进行审核。
(2)课程学习成绩要求:申请人的研究生课程成绩优良 (课程总GPA和学位课程GPA都大于3.2)。
(3)发表论文要求:在CSSCI 检索期刊发表2篇论文,或在教育部/基金委认定的A类重要期刊发表1篇论文,或在SCI/SSCI检索期刊发表1篇论文。增刊不可用。
